Here’s your Long Neck Elementary School update for this week:

Congratulations to Shelby Moore one of our Para Professionals who was voted as our Employee of the Month for April.  As you can see she is enjoying her new parking spot accompanied by a beautiful trophy and certificate.  Keep up the great work Ms. Moore and keep an eye out for our next Employee of the Month!

Congratulations to Christa Ferdig 5th grade teacher pictured here with Gina Hoffman of Giant and Assistant Principal Christopher Costello.  She was voted as the Educator of the Community via Giant Grocery Store here in Long Neck.  Thank you to Christa for all of the hard work this year and Giant as well for being a great supporter of Long Neck Elementary School!

The students participated in a week-long can collection for the school’s First Annual Bunny Hop before Spring Break. The recipients of the canned goods raised by the students were Mary Mother of Peace, Bayside Chapel, Long Neck United Methodist Church, Bethel Tabernacle, Community Church of Oak Orchard, Indian River School district food pantry, and Joseph's Storehouse. We Totaled 1,300 cans in 5 days! With all of the students working together we were able to have everyone participate in the Bunny Hop as well.  Congratulations to Ms. Waller’s class who were the Bunny Hop Champions this year!

It's that time, testing time!

Please help us to help your student do well on his or her test by:
Making sure they get enough rest.
Provide them with a good breakfast.
Reminding them to check their work.
Explain that even if they aren't testing others are and that they should be quiet when in the halls.
